Board of DirectorsKen Davidson, Senior Shareholder at Davidson, Czeisler & Kilpatric, P.S. in Kirkland brings a wealth of practical knowledge arising out of his personal experience in real estate development and construction. He has personal experience with in multi-family residential, retail and office construction projects including the 50,000 square foot Emerald Building which houses the firm's offices. He has also been involved in the ownership and management of a community bank, a commercial fishing vessel, a restaurant and a ski area. Joie Goodwin serves as Board Secretary. She relocated to the Seattle/Kirkland area in 1969 from Iowa. Her career consisted of 15 years of retail management and 15 years of teaching. She enjoys being a mother and serving the community of Kirkland with the Woman's Club, Parking Advisory Board, and Market Neighborhood Association. She retired 5 years ago and is enjoying being involved in her community. Mary Lue Gutow and her husband, Gary moved their family of four to Kirkland in 1979 and have been small business owners since the mid 1980s. Because the well -being of our community is high on her priority list, Mary Lue joined KITH in 1997. Being a KITH volunteer provides the opportunity to be a part of a positive influence in the community and to meet a lot of very special people. Her idea of a relaxing time is gardening with the Mariners game on the radio headset. Dick Klug is a retired executive with over 30 years experience in all areas of financial management. He and his wife reside in Kirkland, and have three grown children. Dick serves as the KITH Board Treasurer. Ron Olsen, Board President, is a Seattle native and has lived in Kirkland for over 30 years. He provides banking services to municipalities especially underwriting bonds for basic infrastructure improvements. With his wife Masami (an accomplished musician) they have raised two sons and enjoy many outdoor and athletic activities including tennis, golf, fly fishing, and skiing. He is a devoted member of Kirkland Kiwanis and a past president. Marlenna Peppler, Board Vice President, moved to the Pacific Northwest in 1970 and to Kirkland in 1986. Since arriving, she has happily enjoyed exploring the many beautiful outdoor wonders we are surrounded by and especially Kirkland's amazing waterfront. She's an avid reader and works as a leadership coach, team-builder and group facilitator for Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle. Involved previously in other local homelessness projects, she is delighted to be a member of KITH's board. Redith Ross became involved in KITH through Kirkland Kiwanis and is the current chairman for KITH Community Suppers. She truly enjoys the personal interaction with the guests at the weekly suppers. She and her husband, Don, have two children and eight grandchildren, all living in the greater Seattle area. Redith was a flight attendant for PNA/Western Airlines for fifteen years and has worked as a paralegal in personal injury for the past twenty-two years. She is a past member of the Board of Directors of Washington State Paralegal Association and Beta Sigma Phi and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Kirkland Kiwanis Noon Club. She is also a member of Washington State Association for Justice and The Westerlies, Inc. Redith was a member of the University of Utah Ballet and holds a private pilot's license. Lynn Sanborn a licensed broker with Windermere Real Estate, is member of National Association of Realtors, Washington State Association of Realtors, King County Association of Realtors and Founding Member of the Kirkland Business Association. Voted 5 Star agent by Seattle Magazine 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2010, Lynn received Earth Advantage Broker "Green" Certification 2010. Lynn has served on the Windermere Foundation from 2000-2004 and again 2010 to present and Chaired the Eastside Foundations largest fundraisers. Randy Schmidt is a Financial Advisor Representative with KMS Financial Services, Inc. Specializing in 401(k) retirement plans and individual retirement planning. He and his wife, Judy, have three children, two sons, Troy and Tim & one daughter Kelly. They also have seven grandchildren. The Schmidts have lived in the Kirkland area for 35 years. He enjoys wine tasting, camping, mountain bike riding, wind surfing, snowboarding, and water skiing. Susan Sumeri is enjoying her retirement from careers in education (42 years) and business. She and her husband, Alex, have owned a home in the Kirkland area since 1967. They have one son, Eric. Her recreational activities include bicycling, traveling, hiking, and reading.
