Transitional HousingKITH's Transitional Housing Program helps homeless families and individuals gain stability and become self-sufficient. Our case managers work closely with each client to help them set goals that will prepare them to move into and maintain permanent housing. To qualify for housing through KITH, a family must be homeless or in danger of homelessness. Our intake process helps determine the extent of each client's needs and our capacity to address those needs; we also assess applicants' commitment to working on goals and issues. Case management is a key element our Transitional Housing Program. Clients must participate in a case management session weekly and are required to follow through on their individual plans in order to remain in housing. Each session with a case manager focuses on evaluating progress, working on areas of concern, and exploring ways to eliminate barriers to success. As families transition out of KITH housing, KITH works with them to secure new, more permanent homes. Participants pay rent based on income level and reside in transitional housing for 6 to 24 months, depending on their circumstances. KITH currently owns four units of transitional housing and contracts with other providers for additional placements. To apply for housing, please contact the KITH office at 425-576-9531. | It’s easy.
